Hey everybody, Jimmy is Promo here, and in this video I break down five simple steps to get that “new phone” speed and battery life back on your Samsung Galaxy. First up, I look at your apps—because it doesn’t matter if you’ve had your phone for 3 months or 3 years (or you used Smart Switch), you’ve got apps you don’t use. If you’ll never use it again, uninstall it. If you only use it a few times a year, archive it so it stops using permissions, storage, mobile data, battery, and notifications—while still keeping your login info so you can restore it in seconds. Next, I jump into My Files > Manage storage to clear the stuff that’s quietly slowing you down. I focus on Large files (because that’s where you’ll free up the most space), duplicates, and even old documents that have been carried over for years. If you don’t want to delete, move those big files to OneDrive, Google Drive, your computer, or even a portable SSD. Then I show how to keep things healthy long-term: set up Auto restart inside Device care, turn on Battery protection so you’re not trickle-charging at 100% all day, and finally speed everything up by setting the three animation scales in Developer options to 0.5x (not 0, because that can create bugs).
