In this video, I run my first AI-assisted development masterclass and we build a Nike-level full-stack eCommerce platform from scratch with Devin AI as my co-engineer. The point isn’t “vibe coding” a broken zip and calling it a day—I literally show you what happens when you prompt too broadly: you get errors, spaghetti code, and an app you can’t run or maintain. So we do it the real way: we plan first. I walk you through a modular monolith architecture (clear boundaries like catalog, cart, orders, payments), then the rendering strategy mindset in Next.js (SSR for SEO-critical pages, ISR/PPR where it makes sense), a clean API layer with server actions, and a solid data layer with Neon PostgreSQL + Drizzle. You’ll also learn my prompting framework—objective, structure, tasks, output requirements—because AI isn’t Google, it’s like a junior engineer: fast, but it needs a proper brief. Then I use Devin to automate the painful setup (Next.js 15, TypeScript, Tailwind, ESLint, Better Auth, Zustand, Drizzle), seed products, and render data—so we can spend our time on architecture and decisions that actually scale.
