About This Video

In this video I break down how I use Anki to study engineering without turning it into a complicated “productivity system.” I keep the setup basic and focused on consistency: a simple deck structure, a clean workflow for adding cards, and a review routine that I can actually stick to alongside lectures, problem sets, and life. The goal isn’t to memorize everything—it’s to offload the right facts and patterns so I can spend more time doing engineering problems. I walk through three parts: my basic setup, how I add cards, and how I review. When I add, I’m trying to capture the smallest useful piece of information—definitions, key relationships, common mistakes, and the steps I always forget—so my future self can recall it quickly. Then the review is about showing up every day, keeping the queue under control, and letting spaced repetition do its job. If you want the written version of the whole approach, I linked my blog post where I explain how I’ve used Anki throughout my degree so far.
