About This Video

Hey, it’s Sam here. In this video I build and review the Neo80 Cu (Neo80 ATCU) — a premium TKL with a solid copper bottom and an acoustic structural design. I go through the unboxing and everything you get in the kit (carrying case, gaskets, foams, clip-on PCB stabs, tools, cable), then I break down the case design, including the mini planet/light-up styling near the arrow keys and the clean compass-inspired logo on the mirror dust stainless steel weight. The big headline is the weight: the case alone is around 4 kg (8.8 lb), and fully built it’s about 4.5 kg (9.9 lb), which is honestly ridiculous in the best way. For my build, I used the Monlang color option with a hot-swap PCB and a PEI plate, plus silicon gaskets, PA sheet, and PORON foam. I lubed the clip-on stabs with Krytox XHT-BDZ to cut down rattle, then finished it off with Lumia Matcha linear switches and retro-style PBT caps with orange accents to match the copper base. I also cover QMK/VIA (with the JSON) for remapping layers, macros, layouts, and the small RGB. Typing-wise, the gasket-mounted PEI setup feels stable with a slight bit of flex, and paired with the copper bottom it ends up sounding light, clean, and uniquely “Neo80 Cu.”
