About This Video

Hey, it’s Sam here — in this video I review the YUNZII AL80, a wireless exploded 75% keyboard that’s priced around $100, and it honestly surprised me. You’re getting a CNC anodized aluminum case, an LCD screen above the arrow keys, and a volume knob in the top right, plus tri‑mode connectivity (wired, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth). I unbox everything you get, go over the layout and design details (like the 7° typing angle, magnetic receiver storage, and the mirror-finish weight), and then I jump into a full teardown so you can see what’s actually inside. For components, my unit came with doubleshot PBT Cherry profile keycaps and Gateron Zero linear switches that are pre-lubed and naturally poppy. The stabilizers are plate-mounted and pre-lubed, with extra silicone dampening on the spacebar, and the board uses a gasket-mounted flex-cut polycarbonate plate with a 5-pin hotswap south-facing PCB and per-key RGB. Inside, there’s foam in the case, dual batteries totaling 6000mAh, and multiple sound-dampening layers (PET sheet, IXPE switch pad, and a Poron foam layer) that help push that clacky/poppy sound. I also cover software: it works with VIA (with the JSON file) for remapping, macros, and RGB, and there’s separate software to upload images/GIFs to the screen and sync time/date. Typing feels soft and bouncy, and in gaming I didn’t notice lag with the 1000Hz polling rate. Overall, for around $100, I genuinely think the AL80 is one of the best-value aluminum boards right now.
