Hey, it’s Sam. In this video I review the Redragon DHARMA K740 Pro, a budget tri-mode 98% keyboard with a solid fully aluminum case and a volume knob. I go through the unboxing (cable, puller, extra switches, manual, stickers), then break down the design: exploded 98% layout, indicator lights by the numpad, Type-C centered on the back, tri-mode toggle, OS switch, and even a magnetic slot for the 2.4GHz dongle. It’s also pretty heavy at 1.2kg (2.6lb), which adds to that premium feel. For the build, you’re getting shine-through PBT keycaps in a purple/black colorway, pre-lubed Redragon Minambo linear switches, and plate-mounted stabilizers that are generously lubed. The PCB is 5-pin hot-swap, north-facing, with per-key RGB, plus a 4000mAh battery that I estimate around 20 hours with RGB at max. The big downside is there’s basically no sound dampening in the case or between the plate and PCB, so the typing experience ends up sounding quite hollow in my sound test. I also cover the K740 RGB Pro driver—profiles, full remapping, RGB effects, an audio visualizer mode, and macros. My takeaway: if you want a compact 98% wireless keyboard with a high-quality aluminum build, good RGB, and a knob for productivity—and you don’t really care about a hollow sound—the K740 Pro is a decent option for around $70.
