In this video, I designed version 3 of my eGPU dock concept, which I originally proposed in February 2025. The new design is made to fit a standard NUC-style mini PC (130mm x 130mm x 70mm), turning those mini PCs into absolute gaming beasts. - Featured on Notebookcheck: https://www.notebookcheck.net/This-3D-printed-Steam-Machine-style-cube-with-an-AMD-mini-PC-runs-Red-Dead-Redemption-2-at-105-FPS-via-an-OCuLink-eGPU.1227143.0.html - Check out DIY eGPU playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLM3P4WAfzWoHnIKaTRyd2W6QByrRcrGM5 Free STL 3D files: https://www.printables.com/model/1603693-itg-cube-diy-egpu-mini-pc-gem-12-max My setup gears: - Portable monitor: Interhill Q16ZT 16In QHD Mate touch screen https://amzn.to/45SV47U - Controller: Dual sense controller Gray Camouflage https://amzn.to/3OvelpW - Keyboard: Logitech G515 TKL https://amzn.to/4qr7RpI - Mouse: Logitech G304 https://amzn.to/4cepQMm - DP to USB C cable https://amzn.to/4qFijK2 - ITG Gear Amazon storefront: https://www.amazon.com/shop/itggear?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsfshop_58BDS65MQT89B366Q97W - 3D printing kits: https://www.amazon.com/shop/itggear/photo/amzn1.shoppablemedia.v1.collage.f3b237c6-1363-4c14-8314-668526720f67?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsfphoto_SCCZE6SWN59EPHE5JZFW Get your: AliExpress: - eGPU Kits https://www.amazon.com/vdp/0b6ef4d7d6dd456ba2d37fb748a41e0d?ref_=aipsfvideo&linkCode=ssc&tag=socjeat-20 - OcuP4 GaN Oculink eGPU dock https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_o2ekWlH - Th3p4gan V2 Thunderbolt 4 eGPU Dockhttps://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_oD7FmY3 - M.2 NVMe to Ouclink adapter https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_ok3RtF9 - Female threaded insert nuts https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_opWaP2F - M3 screws https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_onkmMir Amazon: - AOOSTAR AG01 External GPU Docking https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F8B23CN9?ref=t_ac_spc_accepted_tile&linkCode=tr1&tag=socjeat-20&linkId=B0F8B23CN9_1774931945508 - Aoostar Gem 12 Max Ryzen 7 8745HS https://amzn.to/4qxXKz6 - Pre-built eGPU https://amzn.to/40ZrVWh - M.2 to Oculink adapter https://amzn.to/3Bi99Qc - Cheap NVMe M.2 SSD https://amzn.to/40icsAn - Gigabyte RTX 4060 https://amzn.to/4h2flLO - 400W Flex PSU https://amzn.to/42iJEJC - Creality Ender 3 V3 plus 3D printer https://amzn.to/4hjfNVK I don't want a DIY eGPU—I want a prebuilt eGPU with a rich selection of I/O ports. - AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT eGPU https://amzn.to/44qh1JU - ONEXGPU 2-2nd Generation eGPU Graphic Card Dock Expansion Card with AMD Radeon RX 7800M, 12GB GDDR6 https://amzn.to/4nF7rvI 0:00 Introduction 0:58 Setup an Ouclink eGPU dock 2:02 The new concept of eGPU design 2:19 Setup eGPU enclosure 2:57 Installing top fan 4:57 Installing eGPU dock into enclosure 6:11 Final project prevews 7:28 Turn on the PC and verify the installation 9:10 Gameplay 11:29 Final thought Description: In this video, I’m excited to showcase the ITG Cube V3, the third generation of my custom Oculink eGPU dock project originally proposed in February 2025. This version introduces a refined 130mm x 130mm x 70mm internal docking space designed specifically to fit standard NUC-style mini PCs, instantly transforming them into high-performance gaming beasts. By pairing a Ryzen 7 8745HS mini PC with an Nvidia RTX 4060 via a PCIe 4.0 x4 Oculink connection, I achieve desktop-class results that match PCIe 3.0 x8 bandwidth found in older Intel 11th Gen systems. Watch as I put this ultra-compact 1200p portable setup to the test with real-world gameplay benchmarks in God of War Ragnarok, Doom: The Dark Ages, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Cyberpunk 2077 to prove that the ITG Cube V3 is the ultimate solution for mini PC enthusiasts looking for the perfect balance of power and portability. This product concept, which integrates a Mini PC into a dedicated eGPU enclosure that has space to dock the Mini PC inside—creating a one-piece setup—constitutes Prior Art publicly disclosed by ITG Gear on February 2, 2025. This is the latest version of my design, featuring a smaller size and a new case style. Disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, I earn commission from qualifying purchases. About This Video

In this video I’m showing my version 3 ITG Cube concept—basically a Steam Machine-style cube that’s actually a DIY OCuLink eGPU dock with a dedicated slot for a NUC/Nukebox-style mini PC (130mm x 130mm x 70mm). The whole point is simple: these Ryzen mini PCs with Radeon 780M iGPU can already game, but with USB4/OCuLink you can push them way further. So I built a palm-sized “dock-in” system around an OCuLink eGPU board and a short ITX RTX 4060, then designed a super print-friendly 3D case (165mm cube, only two parts) that slides everything in on rails. I printed it in ASA so it won’t deform from GPU heat, used M3 threaded inserts so the back plate can be secured with just four screws, and put a 120x15mm fan on top. For power, I did a simple USB-to-PWM wiring trick so the fan runs off 5V USB at a fixed speed—no PWM control, but it’s not loud and it works. Then I tested the setup: the OCuLink link ran at PCIe 4.0 x4 (~64 Gbps), and I explained why that’s not a deal-breaker for an RTX 4060. Finally, I ran real games at 1200p on my 16:10 portable monitor—God of War Ragnarok (~100 FPS), Doom: The Dark Ages (75–90 FPS), Cyberpunk 2077 (95 FPS avg), RDR2 (105 FPS avg), and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (131 FPS avg).
