About This Video

In this episode, I’m properly starting the design phase for a new ceramic collection—less “big reveal” and more the real studio diary version: the daily tasks, the small resets, and the tiny decisions that add up to a body of work. I share what’s on my bench right now, from a fresh clay delivery to shaping plates and getting a feel for the forms I want to repeat. I’m also making my flower cups again, which is always a nice way to check in with what I actually love using and holding. I also walk you through how I’m managing the collection planning inside Notion—keeping track of pieces, variations, and what needs testing—because my brain cannot hold all of that on its own. The glaze research is a big part of this video too: I’m glazing, firing, and then looking at the results with that mix of excitement and “okay, what does this mean for the next test?” energy. If you’re building a collection, this is basically my process: make, test, document, adjust, and keep going until it feels like a cohesive little world.
