About This Video

In this video I’m giving you a full tour of my little home ceramic studio in Toronto and answering the questions you sent in—how I organize everything, what actually makes the space feel workable, and how I keep it clean when it’s literally inside my home. I walk you through my worktable setup, tool storage, my shelving, and my wedging + reclaim area, plus the small systems that make a huge difference day-to-day (like having dedicated bins and “zones” so things don’t slowly take over the whole room). I also talk about firing, because I don’t have a kiln at home—I fire at the community kiln at Akin Collective here in Toronto. From there I get into beginner wheel advice, the biggest cleaning tip I’ve learned for a home studio, and how I think about keeping the air clean (especially when you’re dealing with clay dust). Finally, I share how I started ceramics in November 2021, what pushed me toward making my own glaze recipes, and the ceramicists who keep inspiring me—Magdalene Odundo and Lucie Rie always, forever. If you’re building a home setup, this one is basically my honest “what’s working right now” studio diary.
