About This Video

In this first episode of my dream studio series, I’m taking you with me to Spain to show you the abandoned shop I found—and why I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Before any renovation starts, I do a proper walk-through of the space as it is right now, and I talk a bit about my past studios and what I’ve learned from working out of different setups while building my ceramics practice. The shop is from 1935, and part of what pulled me in was the history of it—there’s so much character already there, even with everything that needs work. I point out what’s not functional yet, what needs fixing, and what I’m hoping to preserve as I restore it into a working ceramic studio. This episode is really the “before” chapter: the starting line, the messy potential, and me feeling genuinely grateful that I get to create a space where I can make glaze tests, design collections, and build my little world of objects—while documenting the whole process along the way.
