About This Video

Renovation work has officially started on my little 1935 shop-turned-ceramics-studio, and in episode 2 I’m basically in that “okay, this is real now” phase. I’m walking you through some of the first foundational changes—exposing the brick, figuring out the front wall and door situation, and getting a clearer sense of how the back of the studio is going to function. It’s not the glamorous part yet, but it’s the stuff that makes everything else possible (and it’s honestly so satisfying seeing the bones of the space). I also hit a couple of hiccups along the way—especially with the drop ceiling and some pipe problems—so I’m documenting what came up and how we’re thinking about solving it before I move on to the next steps. By the end, I share what’s coming next and some photos to help show the direction I’m building toward. If you’re into studio build-outs, old building quirks, and the slow process of making a space feel like your own, this one is a cozy, practical progress update.
