Ike shares how he once identified as “spiritual but not religious,” exploring crystals, fortune tellers, meditation, spiritual books, and even psychedelics in search of clarity, purpose, and self-understanding. Despite all these practices, he realized he was unknowingly seeking God. A conversation with a Christian friend helped him see that being Christian is also being spiritual, which led him to return to church, get baptized, and recommit his life to Christ. Ike reflects on the issues he experienced with new age spirituality—lack of clarity in beliefs and the ego-driven mindset of self-reliance. Since embracing Christianity, he has experienced the dissolution of his ego, giving glory to God for his growth and success, and finding a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment in life.
