Kevin Palmieri reflected on 2019 as one of the hardest years of his life. After leaving his job to pursue his dream full-time, he burned through $10,000 in savings and ended up $30,000 in credit card debt. He couldn’t pay rent, buy Christmas gifts for his girlfriend (now wife), or even fix his car when it kept stalling at red lights. Despite grinding harder than ever, he was broke, filled with self-doubt, and afraid of failing both in business and in his relationship. His lesson from that season: obsess over learning the skills that could have prevented those problems, and focus on anticipating the next set of challenges before they arrive.
