In this video, I’m basically leaving a time capsule for my future self. I recorded it super early (so yeah, my voice is weird because I just woke up), and the whole point is to check where I’m at on YouTube right now and then compare it later to see if I actually stuck with it and how much progress I made. At the time of recording, I’m sitting at around 300 subscribers and a couple thousand views, and I’m being real about how hard it is to get noticed when you’re starting from scratch. I also talk about the mindset side of it—YouTube is my dream job, but I’m honest that it might not happen unless I keep improving and actually learn what works. I’m stuck between two extremes: either quitting soon or doing YouTube for a really long time, and I’m hoping it’s the long run. I commit to trying to post twice a week, ask for video suggestions because I’m still figuring out what to make, and explain that filming is tricky since my family doesn’t want to be on camera and I don’t really have the space.
