Spring has sprung, and in this video I’m testing the hottest new luxury beauty launches to create an early spring makeup look featuring the color of the season: blue. I filmed in 4K, natural light, no filters—so you can truly see my freckles, fine lines, spots, and dark circles, and how these products perform on real, over-40 skin. I start with no primer and go straight into the new M.PH (Mary Phillips) Weightless Serum Foundation in 150N. It’s super runny, feels like a skin tint with surprisingly nice coverage, and gives that healthy glow—plus the shade match was perfect on me. From there, I test the new Patrick Ta Major Skin Soft Blur Brightening Concealer (Light Golden 3). It blends like a dream and looks hydrating, but on my very dark under eyes I really feel I’d need a peachier tone or a corrector underneath. I set with my Givenchy powder, then go in with my beloved Dior bronzer stick to see if the base lifts (it didn’t). For cheeks, the No Makeup Makeup blush in Pink gave me that muted, buildable “no makeup makeup” flush, and then Hourglass absolutely stole the show with their Unreal Liquid Highlighters—Divine + the No.16 brush gave me true dolphin-glass skin. For eyes, I play with the Dolce & Gabbana Eye Dare You Beyond palette—pigmented, duochrome, mermaid vibes—and finish with Dior’s blue mascara for a fun pop (and I even compare it to black). I wrap it up with YSL’s Kiss Shaper liner in 102, YSL Loveshine Nude Blurring Lipstick in shade 8, and a cooling Dolce & Gabbana plumping lip oil.
