In this video I’m testing the hottest new luxury beauty releases for this season—Tom Ford, YSL, Westman Atelier, Chanel, and Dior—and I’m doing it the way I always do: in natural light, 4K, and with no primer so you can really see how these formulas perform from the get-go. I start with the reformulated Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation and compare it to the previous version side-by-side. The new one dries a bit faster, feels more like a lightweight “serum style” base, and gives light-to-medium coverage with a subtle radiance. The older formula reads a touch glowier and builds to medium coverage a little quicker, but the new one is seriously blurring. Then I move into my current go-to Chanel concealer (it blends easily and doesn’t crease on my mature, over-40 skin), warm up the face with the Dior Bronzer in 02 Soft Fair, and of course we get into the Tom Ford Architecture Blushes—yes, I committed a scene and bought five shades. The finish is soft, blurring, and “clean,” like the name architecture suggests, with plenty of pigment so I recommend tapping lightly. For eyes, I test the YSL Nude Hours palette: super cohesive neutrals, easy blending, no fallout, and those sparkly “water glimmer” shades look best pressed in with a finger. I finish with Westman Atelier Hydrobalm (truly balmy), a gorgeous new Chanel lip liner in Beige Rose, Chanel Rouge Coco in 102 Flying Cloud, and my fragrance of the day: Dolce & Gabbana My Devotion—feminine, spring-perfect, and not overly sweet.
