About This Video

In this vlog a few days before Hari Raya Aidilfitri, I’m sharing my real “pack with me” routine—plus the little home reset I always do before we leave. We’re going back early to Ipoh so we can fast with my parents and avoid heavy traffic, and after that we’ll head to Singapore to celebrate with Amir’s extended family. Before packing, I cleaned the house (yes, even the staircase area that’s always overlooked) and I used my vacuum to make it so much easier. Of course, while cleaning I started getting makeover ideas again… hehe. For packing, I’m all about staying organized and calm. I pack by theme (pink + peach for the first day, black for the second), and each of us has our own bag organizer in a different color so it’s easier to find things quickly. I keep makeup and skincare simple, bring everything in small quantities so it fits in one toiletries bag, and I always make sure I cleanse properly because I really don’t like the oily feel on my skin. I also share my reminders to double-check essentials and home security (electricity, water, etc.) before a long trip—don’t take it easy when leaving home for a long period. Before we left, I did some last-minute video scheduling (so I can truly relax on vacation), showed my new IKEA candle JÄMLIK in Vanilla (sweet, warm milk vibes), and prepped an iftar menu. Alhamdullillah, we arrived safely in Ipoh.
