I finally gave my kitchen window area a new look after months (okay… years) of leaving it empty. In this video, I’m working on a simple DIY makeover that still makes a big difference—starting with adding a wall sconce above the sink for that retro vintage vibe I’ve always wanted. Amir helped me with the drilling (thank you for always accepting my ideas), and because there’s no wiring at that spot, I went with rechargeable LED bulbs instead. I chose a white sconce to match my kitchen theme, and the golden copper holder really completes the cozy vintage look I was going for. After that, I added extra shelves because this space really needed character. I looked at way too many inspo pictures, so yes, it took me a long time to finally decide and finish it. I also shared my TEMU find—the rechargeable half-bulb with a remote—super bright, adjustable, with 3 light modes and a timer for auto off. Since my kitchen is open concept, I kept the shelf styling simple, but somehow it started giving me English cottage vibes (so sudden). This makeover reminded me that even the smallest change can shift our mood and perspective, and I’m honestly excited for my next DIY project.
