About This Video

Creamy keyboards are the best—and in this film I’m putting that idea to the test with the Epomaker TH99, a full-size prebuilt that’s sitting around the $70 mark. I walk through the basics you’d expect in this tier: south-facing RGB, PBT Cherry profile keycaps, and the full wireless suite with a 2.4GHz dongle plus Bluetooth and a Windows/Mac switch. The case is mostly plastic, but it doesn’t feel flimsy, and the feature set is honestly stacked for the price. Then we get into what actually matters: the internals and the sound. The TH99 uses a familiar Epomaker layer stack—PORON pad, switch pad, PET sound pad, and silicone bottom—plus a hot-swap switch bed that supports 3-pin and 5-pin switches. Mine came with the jade creamy linear switches (45g, 3.6mm travel), and the board is undeniably creamy when you start typing. My main takeaway: the value is real, but the trade-off is physical build. When I compare it to the Galaxy70 for about $20 more, the aluminum case makes the overall feel and sound more premium, while the TH99 leans a bit more plasticky in texture.
