About This Video

In this video, I deep dive on the Fantech EOS Pro II (WGP15V2) and see if it’s actually worth picking up in 2025—especially if you’re hunting for a budget-friendly controller for Xbox Game Pass on PC, and even Nintendo Switch. I also compare it with another Fantech controller I reviewed before, the Shooter 3. Side by side, they’re almost the same at a glance, but the EOS Pro II stands out with the newer, more modern Xbox-inspired D-pad, which is honestly the first time I’ve tried that style and actually liked it. Performance-wise, the EOS Pro II feels noticeably heavier than the Shooter 3, and for me that’s likely because they packed in more features—newer triggers, macro buttons on the back, plus vibration and gyro modules. It’s a tri-connectivity controller, and I like that pairing is simplified with a physical switch where you choose Windows, Android, iOS, or Switch so you don’t deal with the usual buggy pairing experience. My main complaint is the dongle: it’s only a single 2.4GHz USB wireless, which feels a bit backwards compared to the Shooter 3’s more flexible setup. Still, with Hall triggers, Hall thumbsticks, and TMR sticks (and my own no-ghosting experience on their previous controller), it’s a solid option if you need a third-party controller without spending too much.
