This week of life was a very “adult money” + “why am I like this” combo. I started with my phone refusing to autofocus (so yes, I restarted it like 10 times), then celebrated my new sink delivery… and immediately accepted that I’m gonna “eat grass” this month because my wallet is empty. I also lost one entire hour fighting a keyboard stand screw, gave up, and worked on the floor like I’m proud of my Asian squat. Then it was rehearsal season: I kept showing up late because I couldn’t stop playing my new keyboard, got roasted in drum class (as always), and somehow spent three hours in a music shop trying drums and keyboards until it closed. The fun part: F1 weekend in Singapore + Elton John. I went with my guitarist (drummer and bassist disappeared into the crowd), ate ramen, then spent the next two hours filming “nothing” because the cars are so fast. The crowd was insane and I fully overestimated my height, but we eventually found a spot where the screen was big enough for my short-person life. I also did a tourist day at the new aquarium (frogs, “delicious” fish, population density very Southeast Asia), squeezed into a JB trip on a weekday that was still crowded, tried durian things that taste like fart (ew), and survived performance review season at work by writing my essays myself—even though we’re allowed to use AI tools.
