I took you with me for three days at iOS Conf SG 2026—but from the POV of a conference staff/volunteer (and yes, I was SO sleepy). I was on the social media team, so my job was basically: take as many good photos as possible, help where needed, and somehow also vlog because my boss asked me to. Day 1 was workshop day, and it started with me being late, getting lost, and taking two hours to reach the venue (the bus was so slow). After registration chaos, luggage problems, and a peek backstage (there was a dressing room—so fancy), I finally got to sit in on the Swift workshop a bit and watch everyone pair-program (or… not). Day 2 and 3 were the main event days: packed rooms, nonstop sessions, sponsor booths, panel prep, and me running around taking photos and checking on logistics. I also did mini interviews asking people what they enjoyed most—networking, meeting people from different places, and the mix of cultures came up a lot. Between food comas, gacha plushies, and me bribing a winner with bubble tea because we had no tokens, the biggest takeaway is: conferences are a LOT of behind-the-scenes work, but it’s honestly so worth it for the community. See you guys again in 2027 (hopefully with more sleep).
