About This Video

Hi, I’m Jen, and in this video I’m giving my home art studio the refresh it really needed. Over the past few months it got disorganized, and honestly, when my space is messy, my mind is messy—so I’m cleaning, decluttering, and reorganizing so I can feel productive again. A big part of the reset is getting my coloring book restock out of boxes and onto the shelves, but first I had to solve my biggest space problem: my laser machine was taking up way too much room. To fix that, I built a new IKEA Alex drawer unit on wheels so the top can be the perfect surface for my laser machine, and I can move it around or tuck it into the closet when I’m not using it. I also reorganize my inventory shelves to make better use of vertical space (hello wooden crates for extra levels), and I make sure the things I grab the most—like thank you cards and envelopes—are actually within reach. Then I add cozy, inspiring touches like a new gallery wall with prints and some of my wood paintings, plus a little trinket shelf for my Winnie the Pooh Funko collection. By the end, the layout is basically the same, but it genuinely feels like a brand new space.
