The (Literal) Dark Side of Living in Dijon, France: Winter’s Harsh Realities As an American living in Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, France for almost 17 years, I documented my struggle with the harsh winter "grisaille" (grayness) that blanketed our region from November through mid-February 2025. My video shows how months of relentless gray skies, plus fog, and rain severely impacted my mood and creativity, despite brief bright spots like Christmas festivities and the Saint Vincent wine festival. After capturing frequent footage of this dreary reality, I'm finally feeling better as March brings sunshine, blooming daffodils, and renewed optimism. I created this honest portrayal for anyone considering moving to Burgundy who might be sensitive to sunlight deprivation, so that you know the reality of what this aspect of life is like here. WHO AM I? New to my channel? Bienvenue ! I’m Suzi, I’m American and I’ve been living in France for almost 17 years.
