On the budget end, the BNEXT Galaxy VR is an easy entry point, but in my testing it was clunky to align, uncomfortable fast, and limited to basic 3DoF with a very obvious pixelated look. Moving up, the Pico 4 Ultra has great hardware (pancake lenses and sharp visuals), but the iPhone experience gets dragged down by flaky iOS syncing, casting latency, and pass-through distortion that made even checking a text annoying. If you want the “no-compromises” route, I cover PCVR with the HTC Vive Pro 2 for breathtaking visuals and millimeter-accurate tracking, then the Meta Quest 3/3S for the best all-around mainstream experience with strong iPhone app support.
