In this video I’m showing you a new way to create a balloon garland using 260s, and I promise it will change your balloon game. I start by making duplexes (two balloons wrapped and tied together), and then I combine two duplexes to form a quad. These quads are the base of the whole garland, so I make a bunch in my color choices first. One of my biggest tips is: after you inflate each balloon, press down to release a little air—this helps the balloons get that neat, rounded shape instead of looking too “pear-shaped.” I also show you how I add bigger balloons (18 inch or larger) into quads to create more volume. Then I use a clear 260 (my favorite because it blends in) and wrap it around the center of each quad like a figure eight, tugging and stretching it tight as I go. When I need more length, I just double-knot on another 260 and keep building. Finally, I attach the garland to my backdrop stand using stretchy 260s and heavy-duty clamps—starting in the middle first, then securing the bottom and top. I finish by adjusting balloons, filling empty spots with extra clusters, and adding themed details (like Chicago Bears balloons) with glue dots for a clean final look.
