In this video I’m getting my house ready for my daughter’s LOL Surprise 8th birthday party, and I’m showing you how I transformed my space into an “LOL land” on a budget. I start with the real-life prep—cleaning off walls, moving things around, and pulling all my decor together (backdrops, banners, my favorite curtain fringe, and of course tons of balloons). I also share a few honest moments, like when my “Happy Birthday” balloon banner showed up smaller than I expected—but I still made it work because that’s real party prep. I walk you through my setup step-by-step: putting up the shimmer wall panels (and how to line them up with the arrows and clips), styling the fireplace wall with LOL motivational prints and curtain fringe, and creating a fun entryway moment with my garland bows. I also show you my mosaic number 8 (and I have a full tutorial linked), plus the balloon garland over the window—yes, even the struggle of getting it up and dealing with the air vent. To finish it off, I put together snack and dessert displays and make super cute chocolate-dipped Oreos topped with edible LOL images for easy party favors.
