In this video, I’m showing you step-by-step how I attach Cricut vinyl onto a cup using transfer tape. I made these cups for my family reunion and they turned out great—everybody loved them—so I wanted to break it down in a simple way. I go over the basic supplies you’ll need (vinyl, transfer tape, scraper, weeding tool, and a sticky mat) and I walk you through weeding, especially those little inside pieces like the E’s and P’s. Once the vinyl is weeded, I show you how to cut your transfer tape to a good size, press it down, and use your scraper so the letters grab onto the tape. Then I demonstrate how to center your design on the cup and transfer it over—plus what to do if a letter doesn’t want to stick (just lay it back down and scrape again). My extra tip is that you can reuse transfer tape more than one time—I’ve used it three or four times. At the end, I also share how I stuffed the cups with paper stuffing (mine was white and purple for our reunion colors). You can add as much or as little as you want depending on the look you’re going for, then screw the top back on and you’re done.
