In this video I’m doing something a little different—live audio instead of my usual voiceover—while I show you how I made DIY bow garlands for my daughter’s LOL birthday party. I wanted one more “accent” for the entryway (she already had mermaids, unicorns, donuts, cupcakes… all the fun), and I couldn’t find the exact hair bows I wanted. So I grabbed affordable bows from Amazon, some string (mine was from Dollar Tree), and my hot glue gun and made my own hair-bow garland with real bows. I walk you through my simple method step-by-step: I lay all the bows out in the order I want, and I even keep the backs facing the same way so everything looks neat. Then I string the bows by going through the middle loop on each side—this is the best way I’ve found to keep the bows from sliding when you hang it. After I double-check that every bow is on the string (because yes, I’ve missed one before), I hot glue right into the crease and press the string down to seal the corners. The result is a secure garland you can pick up and shake without anything shifting—perfect for an entryway moment that gives your LOL party that extra pop.
