About This Video

Hey friends! In this video I’m showing you how I use a basic balloon arch stand to create a freestanding balloon garland for this Halloween look—but you can use the exact same concept to get any look that you desire. I start by walking you through how I put the stand together (mine is from Amazon, and it actually came with two stands—a 6ft and a 7ft—so I’m using the shorter one here). I also show you the curved arch piece and how I like to use it later when I want to extend my design with an additional garland. Then I get into my favorite part: building the garland right onto the stand using balloon clips. I slide the clips down the pole, stack them up, and position the balloons so they sit in between each other for that full, layered look. Since I’m placing this outside, I add a weight at the base for stability. If your balloons start acting up toward the top and don’t want to stay in place, it is okay—I explain how I “lock” everything in at the end (and I share more of that in the next video). I also show you how I make balloon clusters (quad/duplex style) and a mini garland using a 260 balloon to attach and fill in areas. To finish it off, I add 5-inch balloons to fill in gaps and make everything look extra polished. And don’t forget to stay tuned—after this video I have another one ready showing you how I make a balloon garland stand out of a lamp post step by step. Have a royal day!
