It's one of the most in-tact wilderness areas left in the world and was an early adopted wilderness area thanks to the efforts of many early conservationists, especially Bob Marshall. This trip was a spectacular 7-day backpacking and packrafting trip, floating along the South Fork of the Flathead, in one of the most remote parts of the US.
