In this video I’m sharing the Bible study tools and resources I’ve been using for my devotionals, my faith journey, and my Bible reading journey—because I had to repurchase a lot after our 2024 house fire. When we finally moved back home in December and started unpacking, I noticed some of my most-used study items were missing or damaged (including my ESV New Testament inductive Bible that came back with water damage and is now out of print). I was honestly so flabbergasted, because these are the exact resources I reach for every time I sit down to study. I walk you through what I’m using now: the 365-Day Bible Recap (I love that it’s chronological), the Tony Evans Commentary (my go-to tangible commentary), and the Tony Evans Study Bible (NASB), which surprised me with how many built-in features it has—QR code videos, application questions, topical guides, hope words, and reading plans. I also show my Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary for quick definitions (person/place/thing) and the Dennis Prager “Rational Bible” volumes, which read like detailed teaching/commentary by verse. My biggest takeaway: I like having a few solid resources at my fingertips—usually about three—to cross-reference without making Bible study overwhelming.
