In this video, I’m doing a cozy little journal-with-me while we’re still in the middle of moving and unboxing (and yes… it’s been chaotic because the boxes are not labeled right). I’m recording on Christmas Eve, and I’m just being transparent about where I’m at mentally during the holidays, because this time of year can be heavy for me. For memory keeping, I’m officially testing rings before the new year because I want to be more intentional and significant with how I document my everyday life. I’m using a Moterm rings planner, and I also show a green one I forgot I had in storage (I’m probably going to clean the rings with Dawn because they look a little dirty from moisture/storage). I print photos for my spread using the Canon Selphy QX20, and I talk through why I prefer dye-sublimation over ZINK for truer color. I also share little practical details—like cutting photos down, using my Tim Holtz serrated scissors, and why I’m not pressuring myself to make everything “perfect for social media.” I also chat about stepping back from Instagram next year (outside of obligations), because the algorithm changes have been frustrating and honestly I’ve been enjoying being offline. At the end, I give you a desk tour and a mini room refresh: my washi situation, fountain pen storage, my Billy bookshelf setup, and the cozy vibe with fairy lights—plus a peek at my shelves, books, and how I’m getting my space settled for the new year.
