The Better Together Platform (BTP) is an innovative toolkit designed to help mining companies measure and improve psychosocial safety on site. It provides a structured way to assess psychosocial risk factors and delivers evidence-based recommendations, supported by practical tools and resources, to strengthen mental health and safety performance. Since its launch in September 2025, WA mining organisations have been actively collecting data through the platform. This collective data is now forming an industry benchmark, offering valuable insights into psychosocial safety across the sector. During the session, Dr Aglae Hernandez-Grande and Dr Fleur Sharafizad shared an overview of the benchmark data to date, highlighting key findings and trends. They were joined by Sandra Lam (FIFO Focus) to discuss how the BTP is being integrated into psychosocial risk workshops and how it supports proactive risk management across the industry.
