East meets West: Cross-cultural imaginings

This collaborative project unites staff and student musicians from WAAPA at Edith Cowan University and Nanjing University of the Arts, exploring cross‑cultural music‑making through jazz, composition and collective improvisation. East Meets West was developed through collaborative workshops and performances in Nanjing in November 2023 and May 2024, celebrating shared creativity between Australia and China. This project is enabled via a grant from the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations.
