My take is simple: a lot of people are basically brainwashed into thinking Apple is automatically “the best,” and they buy it as a status symbol more than a spec-for-spec decision. Meanwhile, I’m sitting here looking at my own laptop with a 4K OLED 120Hz panel thinking… how does a 60Hz LCD MacBook get a pass? I’m not saying Apple has zero strengths—on CPUs, they do have an edge. But if you actually care about performance, you should also care about the display, refresh rate, and overall value. I also talk about how Apple locks people into the ecosystem (services, app store, music), and yeah, Google and Samsung do it too—but Apple is especially good at it. And a big reality check: outside the US, Apple pricing gets mad expensive, which makes the “default iPhone” mindset even more obvious when you zoom out.
