It’s officially been one full year since I had baby number eight, and I’m still sitting here like… how did that go so fast? In this update I’m sharing what life looks like now that we’re a year out—how I’m feeling physically and emotionally, what our day-to-day feels like with eight kids, and the honest “mom brain” side of watching another baby stage fly by. I also talk through that weird mix of gratitude and nostalgia that hits hard when you realize you might truly be closing the baby chapter. And yes—I answer the big question: are we really done? I share where my heart is right now, what makes me feel confident in being “done,” and what still makes me pause. This is just my personal experience and feelings, but if you’re a mom (especially in a big family) trying to process the end of the baby years, I think you’ll really relate. My biggest takeaway is that it’s okay for your feelings to be layered—you can feel done and still feel emotional about it.
