About This Video

The hardest part about building an app isn’t the coding — it’s knowing if the idea is even worth your time. In this coding vlog I walk through the exact steps I use to find app ideas and validate them before I write a single line of code. I start from problems (usually my own, or stuff I see people complain about), because even if “there’s already an app for everything”, people still download niche apps that feel like they were built exactly for their specific need. Generic tools exist, but a focused solution that does one thing really well is what wins. After I jot down a few realistic ideas, I validate with Sensor Tower. I’m not looking for who’s #1 — I’m checking if the niche is generating revenue at all. If multiple apps in the same niche are making money, that’s real demand; if everything is flat, it’s probably just a dead market. Then I move into ASO using Astro: I target keywords with popularity over 30 and difficulty below 60 so I’m not fighting giants with zero chance to rank. Finally, I cover launch tactics that help you benefit from the App Store’s initial boost: put the main keyword before your app name, and get early reviews through onboarding or right after the user’s first “success moment.”
