New Curtin Faculty of Health Sciences-led research shows millions of #dementia cases across the Western Pacific Region could potentially be avoided if each country adopted its own targeted prevention strategies. Led by Dr Claire Burley, the Curtin enAble Institute study analysed data from 32 countries across Oceania, the Pacific and East and Southeast Asia and found risk factors such as education access, obesity and mental health had a different influence on dementia risk from country to country.
