Watching families grow is all part of the learning journey for Curtin University #midwifery student Dusty Morgan. As the first Curtin student placed at the Royal Perth Bentley Group Midwifery Birth Centre within the East Metropolitan Health Service, Dusty is working one-on-one with senior midwife Liz Hull in a fully immersive 10-week placement. She’s already helped welcome multiple babies, while building skills across continuity of care from birth through to home visits. Supervising midwives say the model is fast-tracking confidence and capability, while WA families are embracing the hands-on approach - a beautiful glimpse into how future midwives are being trained. Hear about Dusty’s experience. #CurtinUniversity #CurtinResearch
