In this video, I’m sharing Part 1 of our Muji-themed Taobao furniture haul for our minimalist wood house in Singapore—plus a few bonus items that are worth mentioning. I go through the bigger pieces we bought for our resale condo, what worked, what didn’t, and the little details that helped everything feel more cohesive (think: rattan, warm wood tones, and gold accents). We start with our custom full-length bathroom sink (about $700 SGD) that you’ve seen before—after 3 months of daily use, it’s been holding up with no mold issues so far because we mostly wipe down instead of spraying the area. I also share the reality of black fittings (water marks, and some paint chipping on our tap). Then we talk about the rattan shoe cabinet that looked amazing but made our entryway feel narrow and cluttered—so we sold it and switched to a smaller outdoor shoe rack. From there, I show my favorite “vibe” pieces: our coffee station, the fluted-glass TV console (with DIY cable holes), the rattan cabinet, and the dining lights I hunted forever for—because the vibe really matters, okay.
