About This Video

We just got back from three wonderful days in New York City (June 5th–7th) right before we hopped on a 7-day cruise on the NCL Getaway to Bermuda, and we wanted to share what we REALLY thought about the New York CityPASS. It was Carol and my first time in NYC, and since we knew we couldn’t do everything in three days, the CityPASS honestly came in clutch. It helped us narrow down the “big ones,” lock in our itinerary, and keep everything streamlined with one ticket for multiple attractions. In this video, I walk through exactly what’s included, what we chose, and what we skipped. The two fixed attractions are the Empire State Building (and the day + after-9pm nighttime visit is such a cool perk) and the American Museum of Natural History—where the surprise hit for us was the gemstone and mineral area (and yes, we did the butterfly exhibit too). For our three choices, we did Top of the Rock (including the Beam experience) and the Circle Line Sunset Harbor Cruise, which was hands-down my favorite because we got incredible skyline views, went under the Brooklyn Bridge, and even parked near the Statue of Liberty for photos. We also break down the cost: our passes were $154 + tax (June 2025 pricing), and the comparable attraction costs add up fast—so we definitely saved money. Plus, I share our biggest NYC tips: expect heat and humidity, wear good walking shoes, go early (or late like the Empire State Building at night), make reservations when you can, and build in time for food and breaks so you don’t overprogram your days.
