It was our first sea day on the Norwegian Bliss, and we did what we always try to do on a sea day: slow down, eat well, and find the quiet spots. We started with breakfast at Savor (included dining room) with eggs benedict and fruit—always a win—then had to do a quick redo of the safety drill because something didn’t scan right (we had video evidence, but hey… it happens). After that, the pool deck was completely packed, so we grabbed three chairs up by the jogging track for a shaded ocean view and a peaceful reading session. Then we remembered Spice H2O and moved straight to our favorite adults-only area. If you’re cruising Thanksgiving week (or any busy family time), this is the move—kids were filling the hot tubs elsewhere, but Spice H2O was calm, had loungers, and we could actually relax with a drink. We explored more ship highlights like the Bliss Speedway go-karts (extra cost but so cool), played the free mini golf course, and had lunch in the main dining room before settling into the Waterfront on Deck 8—our “giant balcony” since we had inside cabins. The evening was stacked: wine and chocolate pairing at Cellars (we love these tastings—aka wine drinking), dinner at La Cucina (the lasagna absolutely won), and the high-energy Icons show. Sea days like this are exactly why we love cruising—relaxing, great food, and entertainment all in one day.
