Embarkation day is officially our favorite day, and in this video we take you with us step-by-step as we board the NCL Bliss for a 7-night Mexican Riviera cruise out of Los Angeles. Since we’re West Coast all the time, it was extra exciting to skip the airport, roll up to the Port of LA (berths 91/92), hand our luggage to the porter (so easy), and head straight into the check-in flow. We also share our biggest tip: pick the earliest arrival time you can—ours felt about as close to “walk-on” as it gets. Once onboard, we knock out Muster (seriously, it’s that simple now), and then we do what we always do first: mojito bar. My personal favorite is that raspberry guava mojito, and yes—we kept the tradition alive. From there we start planning the week (hello, wine tastings at Savor/Cellars), tour the Mandara Spa thermal suite area, and talk honestly about why we skipped a full-week pass this time (we actually want to explore the ship!). We also show you our inside cabin tour (room 9431), hit the sail away party, and then end the night with the Beatles show in the big theater and dinner in the Manhattan Room.
