Danube River Cruise: Final Stop in Stunning Budapest 🇭🇺✨

Our final stop on this incredible AmaWaterways Danube River Cruise brought us to breathtaking Budapest — and what a way to wrap up the journey! 🇭🇺✨ We sailed into the city, rounding the bend of the Danube to catch our first glimpse of the stunning Buda side and iconic landmarks like Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion plus a stunning first look at the Parliament Building - breathtaking! We split our day exploring both sides of the river — from the Castle District to the emotional “Shoes on the Danube” memorial. We saw the Parliament Building up close, Heroes’ Square, and even stocked up on paprika before heading back to the ship. That night, we were treated to a surprise performance of traditional Hungarian music and dancing — complete with the famous bottle dance (yes, the wine bottle ended up on Laura’s head!). 💃🍷 It was the perfect ending to a journey celebrating Randy’s 50th birthday — filled with unforgettable views, meaningful history, and joyful moments we’ll never forget.
