In this video I’m sharing the actual behind-the-scenes steps I take to set my shop updates up for success—because as much as I love the creative part (designing new cross stitch patterns, kits, and accessories), none of it matters if I don’t get the products to sell. With one of my biggest launches coming up, I walk you through my full “back end” checklist: picking a launch day, building a content calendar, checking inventory, getting packaging ready, taking listing photos, updating my website, and sending my email newsletter. I plan everything in Notion and I work backwards from launch day so I know exactly when I need to start designing and producing. For content, I focus mostly on Instagram and I try to keep variety so I’m not posting only salesy product stuff every single day. I also plan posts for after the launch goes live (thank-you posts, stats, and follow-ups), because the launch isn’t “done” the second the products drop. For photos, my “studio” is literally a white table on my bedroom floor next to big windows—natural light is the most important thing. I shoot with my Sony ZV-E10 and edit in Canva by adjusting each photo individually (brightness up, contrast down, saturation up) so everything matches, then I use those images for listing variants, banners, and website updates. I finish by emailing my newsletter through Omnisend so people who don’t live on social media still know the update is coming.
