About This Video

In this full guide, I walk you through exactly how to cancel your iCloud subscription (iCloud+) step by step, depending on what device you’re using. If you’re on a Mac running Tahoe 26, I show you the quickest path: Apple menu > System Settings > Apple Account > iCloud, then Manage Plan under iCloud+ features, and finally Cancel Subscription at the bottom. You’ll also see the warning about not having enough storage to keep syncing everything—so you can confirm and continue only if you’re ready. If you’re on macOS Sonoma (or similar versions), the flow is slightly different: you still go to Apple menu > System Settings > Apple Account > iCloud, but inside Manage Plan you’ll use Downgrade Options. You may need to enter your Apple Account password, then select a different plan to complete the downgrade/cancel, and you’ll know it worked when you see the blue tick on the new plan and hit Done. And if you don’t have an Apple device available, I also cover the web option using Apple’s Report a Problem page to request a refund/cancellation—refund decisions typically take 24–48 hours.
