Road to Hana | 1 Day Guide to Maui’s Best Road Trip

The Road to Hana was THE most suggested thing when we asked you what to see and do on Maui. If you’re not familiar with the Road to Hana, it's a road that twists and turns along Maui’s northeast coast to the town of Hana and on to Haleakala National Park. With 619 hairpin turns and 59 single-lane bridges, the Road to Hana takes a long time to drive but it is worth every mile. Be careful, drive safely, and be sure to give the front seat to those who get motion sick. ;) Also be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy the journey with all the waterfalls and roadside attractions. There’s so much to see and do that it’s impossible to get it all into just one day, but that’s all the time we had on this trip. When we make it back to Maui we’ll definitely take longer to go back and swim in the pools and hike more of the trails.
