In this video I’m walking you through how I do my monthly bookkeeping on Nifty in 10 minutes or less—because I’d rather spend my time on the parts of my business that actually need me. I’m specifically focused on the Analytics tab and how Nifty pulls your sales data in the background (accurately), including platform fees, shipping costs, and refunds, all on the Orders page. One of my favorite little details is that it tells you how many days an item was listed before it sold, and it also calculates profit so you can see what to lean into (or what to stop buying). Then I show you the Expenses page for anything Nifty can’t know—like sourcing trips, supplies, paying someone for photos, or bills. You can quick-add expenses, import them with a template, and export reports anytime. Once your Orders and Expenses are solid, Nifty auto-generates the best part: Insights (listing count, units sold, sell-through rate, top categories/brands, marketplace breakdowns) and a Profit & Loss you can hand to your accountant. I also cover cash vs accrual, how to import up to a year of sales if you’re behind, why you should refresh orders occasionally, and the biggest “don’t do this” tip: don’t double dip by recording the same expense in both Orders and Expenses.
