In this video I’m applying (almost) all of the Merit Solo Shadow Sheens and giving you my real-time thoughts shade by shade. I started with the one I literally cannot put down: Sartorial. I already had it on my lids, but I built it up so you could see how it wears when you add more product—these shadows truly blend themselves out, and for me they have the perfect amount of pigment. Sartorial is that neutral-to-cool brown that doesn’t pull warm (but also isn’t too icy), which is why I keep calling it a total Goldilocks shade. Then I swatched and applied the rest of the lineup: Palladium (a “warm silver” that sits right between silver and gold), Matchbook (a soft burgundy that reads the most pigmented and, on me, was a little too much), Surrealism (a gorgeous gold that I think will shine on deeper/warmer tones), and Iris (the cool-toned stunner that makes my hazel-green eyes pop like crazy). I skipped re-applying Glass on-camera only because I’ve worn it about a million times already, but I did compare it to Palladium so you can see the difference. At the end, I break down my favorites—Sartorial, Iris, Glass, and Palladium—and I also talk about shopping options if you’re waiting for the Sephora sale versus ordering through Merit.
